In my youth computers required large rooms to perform functions my laptop accomplishes.  That does give me pause as I take my baby steps on this blog site.  But I fight to resist the intimidation of the tool.  My motivation is about something else.

This work begins from a selfish motive:  the experiences of my adult life drive me to think, reflect and write.  If I am an audience of one it is truly OK.  Counting hits is not my purpose but know you are called to participate if the content so moves you.

At inception, there are four general topic areas:  Public Service, Media, The Human Spirit, and Family and Life.  My personal background includes work in two of those areas:  media, and public service and politics.  Spirit and Family are common to us all.

None of us holds the truth.  We each have our share.  Truth and wisdom emerge from collective effort.  Whether all my posts carry the tone of that belief it is what I believe.

My intent is to post two or three items a week.  This effort, by the way, would not have found its birth save for the encouragement, teaching and design work of my son Sean Dimond.  Thank you my son.
